Iran displays Nano achievements in water, environmental industries

The Water and Environmental Section of the 4th Nanotechnology Festival and Exhibition (Iran Nano 2011) is hosting three major companies with vast and strong expertise in applying nanotechnology to water industries.
Various types of products are presented in this section, including a smart nanofilter which absorbs toxic hydrocarbon contaminants, nanotech waste water treatment apparatus and water purification filters based on nanotechnology.

The nanotech water purification filters consist of an outer sand layer to remove off suspended solid particles and an activated carbon filter attached to several subsequent nanofilters to perform further refinements.

The applied filters are durable and fabricated so that the total energy consumption of the whole device is minimized.

The aforementioned smart nanofilters can also help fighting cities’ air pollutions and lowering contaminant levels.
