Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Major General Hossein Salami on Thursday said Hamas military operation against Israel in early October was entirely Palestinian, and added, unlike the resistance front, the Zionist regime’s might will come to an end.
“Hamas and Jihad are capable of producing weapons inside Gaza… The resistance will not end, but what ends is the Zionist regime’s power,” Maj. Gen. Salami stated.
Israel has been carrying out heavy bombardment across the Gaza Strip since early October, killing more than 21,000 Palestinians, including thousands of children and women, and wounding over 55,000 others, and levelling entire neighbourhoods. Thousands more are missing and feared buried under the rubble.
Palestinian forces have in recent weeks taken Israel by surprise on the battlefield across the Gaza Strip by inflicting heavy losses on Israeli troops.
The Palestinian resistance movements say they do not face a shortage of munitions and other military equipment, and are ready for a long battle with Israel.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Maj. Gen. Salami once again stressed that Operation Al-Aqsa Storm launched by Gaza-based resistance groups against the Zionist regime was fully designed and carried out by the Palestinians themselves.
The military operation, he added, was a reaction to 75 years of Israeli occupation, crimes, and murders of the Palestinian youth as well as the Israeli regime’s desecration of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and nightly raids in the West Bank.
