Talking to reporters on the fringes of the Iranian cabinet ministers’ meeting on Wednesday, Amir Abdollahian said the plan put forward by the Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas, is realistic which falls within their principles. The top Iranian diplomat said the plan has been proposed based of the initiative made by Egypt and Qatar. He called on the Western side of the story to fulfill their promises, adding all things are set for a lasting ceasefire and the resolution of the Gaza crisis. Amir Abdollahian, however, warned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his extremist cabinet ministers are seeking to drag on the war, as the establishment of a ceasefire will lead to a new crisis for them. Hamas on Monday evening announced it has agreed to the proposed ceasefire plan.
