Iran has denounced the attack on a temporary medical facility stationed at the Syria-Lebanon border
Iran has issued a stern condemnation of Israel's recent attack on a medical facility located along the Syria-Lebanon border, denouncing the action as "a clear example of war crimes."

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei articulated on Thursday that the recurrent Israeli assaults on hospitals and medical establishments in Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria highlight the regime’s apparent disregard for international laws and regulations.
Baghaei has urged all pertinent international organizations, such as the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), to issue a clear and unwavering condemnation of Israel’s assault.
He additionally emphasized the urgency for international intervention to assist the thousands of Lebanese citizens who have been displaced over the last two weeks in the wake of Israel’s aggressive actions against Lebanon.
On Wednesday, an Israeli airstrike targeted Iran’s 56-bed field hospital, resulting in the destruction of ambulances and all medical equipment housed within the facility.
A new hospital has been established to provide assistance to Lebanese individuals displaced along the Syrian-Lebanese border.
The hospital served as a repository for food supplies, medical equipment, and pharmaceuticals.
A medical facility, prominently displaying the emblem of the Red Crescent, sustained significant damage in an attack attributed to Israeli forces. The incident resulted in the destruction of ambulances, the field hospital, and all associated medical supplies, according to reports from the scene.
Since the onset of the offensive on October 7 last year, Israeli forces have focused their operations on Gaza’s educational and healthcare sectors. The military campaign has resulted in the bombing of numerous hospitals, schools, colleges, and universities in the region.
Hundreds of educational institutions, among them 65 operated by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), have been subjected to bombing and vandalism.
Despite the United Nations Security Council’s call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, Israel persists with its military operations in the embattled region. Reports indicate ongoing conflict as tensions remain high, with significant impact on the Palestinian population residing in the densely populated Gaza Strip.
