A zionist military vehicle fatally strikes a Palestinian youth in the occupied West Bank

A young Palestinian man has been fatally struck by an Israeli military jeep during a raid conducted in the northern region of the occupied West Bank.

According to local sources who wished to remain anonymous, a young man named Kareem Mazeed was reportedly struck by an Israeli army jeep while riding his motorcycle on the main road of Anabta, a town situated 9 kilometers (5.5 miles) east of Tulkarm. The incident occurred on Saturday night and is said to have been an intentional act.

Palestinian medical authorities reported that a young man sustained severe head injuries as a result of the ramming incident.

According to local reports, Israeli forces entered Anabta via the town’s eastern checkpoint, conducting patrols along its streets and pursuing Palestinian vehicles. During the operation, a military jeep reportedly struck a young man.

Residents of Anabta engaged in a widespread general strike on Sunday morning, demonstrating in protest of the fatal shooting of Mazeed by Israeli forces.

Local sources have reported that a funeral for the young man, along with a rally condemning alleged Israeli actions against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and the besieged Gaza Strip, is scheduled to take place in the town later today.

According to a statement from the Palestinian Ministry of Health, over 759 Palestinians have lost their lives due to actions by the Israeli military and attacks by illegal settlers in the occupied West Bank since the onset of the conflict in Gaza on October 7, 2023.

According to a statement released by the ministry, more than 6,500 individuals have sustained injuries in the West Bank since October of the previous year.

The statement reported that the fatalities include 18 women and 165 children.

The Health Ministry in Gaza reports that the conflict initiated by Israel in October 2023 has resulted in the deaths of at least 42,603 individuals, with 99,795 others sustaining injuries.

The ministry reported that the death toll has risen by 84 in the last 24 hours, according to a statement released today.

The actual number of casualties is expected to be significantly higher, with estimates suggesting that around 10,000 bodies may be buried beneath the extensive wreckage of demolished structures across the Gaza Strip.
