Saudi regime summons officials from MBC following slap from Iraqi youth
The media regulatory authority in Saudi Arabia has taken action by summoning executives from the private broadcaster MBC, initiating an investigative process following the channel's broadcast of a report that labeled leaders and commanders of regional resistance groups as "terrorists." The officials have been referred to appropriate authorities for further examination of the matter.

The General Authority of Media Regulation (GAMR) has issued a statement revealing that it summoned the managerial team of a Dubai-based channel. The authority emphasized that the channel’s report breached the media regulations and policies of the Kingdom.
The commission has reiterated its diligent oversight of media adherence to the Kingdom’s regulations and content guidelines, stating that it will adopt a strict stance against any infractions.
The Communications and Media Commission of Iraq has officially rescinded the broadcasting license of the Saudi-owned MBC television channel within the nation. Additionally, it has directed the closure of the network’s bureau situated in Baghdad.
The decision was made subsequent to an incident where an estimated 400 to 500 individuals entered the Baghdad studios of the Saudi broadcaster after midnight on Saturday.
In a report by MBC, the Axis of Resistance, comprising groups such as Lebanon’s Hezbollah, Palestinian Hamas, Yemen’s Ansarullah, and the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, has been classified as terrorist organizations. The report also includes figures like Osama bin Laden in this categorization.
The report identified Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, who was killed last month during an Israeli airstrike in southern Beirut, and Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, who met a similar fate in Tehran in late July.
The report also highlighted Yahya Sinwar, the successor to Ismail Haniyeh, who orchestrated Operation Al-Aqsa Storm within the Israeli-occupied southern territories on October 7 of the previous year.
For over a year, resistance organizations, notably Hamas and Hezbollah, along with allies in Yemen, Iraq, and Syria, have been conducting operations against Israeli targets in solidarity with the Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip.
Since October 7 of last year, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq has been actively engaging in operations targeting crucial sites within the occupied territories. This series of actions commenced in response to the Israeli regime’s aggressive military campaign against the Gaza Strip.
In reaction to the United States’ significant political, military, and intelligence backing of Israel’s actions in Gaza, the alliance has initiated counteractions targeting US military bases located in Iraq and neighboring Syria.
