Hezbollah launches offensive against Israeli troops following the destruction of Lebanese residences

The Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah has announced that it has conducted seven operations targeting Israeli forces in and around a strategically significant town in southern Lebanon.

In a series of declarations made on Thursday, Hezbollah announced that its assaults were aimed at Israeli forces stationed in and around the town of Khiam, situated in the Nabatieh province.

The resistance movement announced it had employed artillery, rockets, and drones to carry out the assaults.

Following reports from Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA), which stated that “enemy forces” were demolishing homes and residential structures during their advance into the town, subsequent hostilities erupted.

In a recent development, the Lebanese Health Ministry reported that a series of strikes by the occupying forces targeted multiple sites in the eastern Bekaa Valley, resulting in the deaths of at least 22 individuals.

In separate statements, it was reported that the “Israeli enemy” conducted airstrikes on five locations within the Baalbek area.

The National News Agency (NNA) has reported a tragic incident in the village of Maqneh, where four members of a single family have lost their lives.

The ongoing conflict involving Israeli actions in Lebanon has resulted in a death toll exceeding 3,500 since October 2023, with over 15,000 individuals sustaining injuries, reports indicate.

The majority have perished over the past month as a result of escalated airstrikes and a ground offensive.

Hezbollah has mounted a formidable resistance against what it describes as Israeli aggression towards Lebanon.
