Iran issues caution regarding the proliferation of terrorism within the West Asian region
Iran has issued a warning regarding the potential re-emergence of Takfiri terrorist organizations in Syria. It has urged for strong and unified measures to prevent the proliferation of terrorism throughout the West Asian region.

In a firm denouncement of terrorism in all its manifestations, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei declared on Thursday that Tehran views the resurgence of terrorist factions in Syria as a sinister scheme orchestrated by Israel and the United States to destabilize the West Asian region.
Baghaei emphasized the necessity for heightened vigilance and coordination among countries in the region, particularly those bordering Syria, in order to counteract this perilous scheme.
The Iranian diplomat emphasized the obligation of the international community to prevent and combat the scourge of terrorism.
Baghaei issued a warning that postponing action against terrorist groups in Syria could lead to a fresh wave of insecurity and instability across the region.
He reaffirmed Iran’s unwavering support for the Syrian government and its citizens in their ongoing battle against terrorist factions, aimed at reestablishing security and stability within the nation.
Israel has been a key backer of armed groups opposing the government of President Bashar al-Assad, following the outbreak of foreign-supported conflict in Syria.
Since October of last year, Tel Aviv has intensified its military operations in the Gaza Strip, which have been characterized by some analysts as a potentially destabilizing campaign that risks heightening tensions across the region.
Since 2011, the Israeli government has conducted numerous military operations against Syria, a country that has faced widespread foreign-backed militant and terrorist activities.
On Wednesday, reports emerged indicating that Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and affiliated militant groups launched assaults on no fewer than 10 locations held by Syrian government forces in western Aleppo and the eastern rural areas of Idlib.
Over 130 individuals, comprising soldiers and militants from opposing factions, reportedly lost their lives amid intense clashes.
Civilian casualties, including children, have resulted from ongoing clashes where Syrian army forces have reportedly launched “hundreds of shells and missiles” targeting both civilian and military sites.
