Zionist analyst suggests an alignment between Israel and anti-Syria militants

Mordechai Kedar, a noted Zionist analyst with established connections to the leaders of various Syrian opposition factions, has claimed that Israeli forces and anti-Damascus rebels are collaborating on the same front.

In a video shared on social media Monday, Kedar asserted that Israel is aligned with the factions commonly referred to as the Syrian rebels.

A lecturer from Bar-Ilan University stated that militant groups active in northern Syria are engaged in conflict against President Bashar al-Assad, the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah, and Iran. Consequently, the lecturer suggested, these groups receive backing from Israel.

In a significant development, leaders of Syrian opposition groups have informed Tel Aviv of their intentions to establish Israeli embassies in Damascus and Beirut. The announcement was highlighted by Kedar, who maintains ongoing communication with these factions. According to Kedar, there is a prevailing sentiment among the Syrian opposition leadership that Israel is no longer regarded as an adversary.

Armed factions have reportedly sought a comprehensive inventory of equipment from Israel, indicating their preparedness for a peace agreement with Israel contingent upon their assumption of control in Syria and Lebanon.

Reports indicate that Israeli officials have allegedly provided support to Al-Qaeda-affiliated Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), including offering medical treatment to members of anti-Syria groups.

Israeli officials frequently reference a statement made in 2016 by a former head of Mossad to rationalize the medical treatment provided to Takfiri militants in Israeli hospitals. The official remarked, “Al-Qaeda has never attacked Israel.”

Shortly following the implementation of a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah, social media platforms experienced a surge of posts from individuals making threats to intensify violence in Syria.

Terrorist organizations, spearheaded by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), have executed their most significant offensive in Syria in recent years. The factions have seized control of areas within Aleppo and are progressing southward towards the city of Hama.

On Monday, Syria’s state television reported that government forces had eliminated approximately 320 militants in operations conducted near the cities of Aleppo, Idlib, and Hama.

The number of terrorists neutralized in joint operations conducted by Syrian and Russian forces has risen to nearly 1,300, according to reports.
