Civil Defense in Gaza reports that 88 members of their team have been killed in ‘israeli’ assaults
The Civil Defense Authority in Gaza has released a statement reporting the casualties among its personnel and the attacks on its facilities and teams amidst the continuing conflict with Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip.

The Gaza Civil Defense Authority has reported that since October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have killed 88 of its personnel, injured 304, and detained 21 amidst the continuing conflict characterized as genocidal by local officials.
The Civil Defense Authority has reported that its infrastructure has come under attack by Israeli forces, resulting in significant damage. According to the authority, 17 centers and headquarters were targeted, with 14 being completely destroyed and three others suffering partial damage.
In a recent statement, it was reported that Israeli strikes have resulted in considerable damage and obliteration of a total of 56 vehicles. Among these were 12 fire and rescue units, two rapid response vehicles, four water tankers, eight ambulances, a hydraulic rescue ladder, and 13 administrative vehicles.
According to reports from the Civil Defense, Israeli airstrikes have “directly targeted Civil Defense centers on six occasions and struck its teams 18 times while they were carrying out field operations.”
It has been confirmed that Israeli occupation forces are currently preventing Civil Defense teams from recovering their equipment in the Tal al-Hawa area, situated to the west of Gaza City. This follows the reported destruction of their firefighting, rescue, and ambulance supplies.
This week, a critical shortage of fuel has forced 13 out of 22 firefighting, rescue, and rapid response vehicles in the central governorates, as well as Khan Younis and Rafah in southern Gaza, to cease operations.
The Civil Defense has announced that in the northern region of Gaza, currently under sustained systematic aggression, the occupation forces persist in hindering their operational capabilities. For the 42nd consecutive day, their vehicles have been obstructed in the northern Gaza Strip, depriving civilians of essential humanitarian services.
In a recent escalation, Israeli military operations have intensified in the Gaza Strip, leading to significant casualties among Palestinians. Over the last 24 hours, two major incidents have been reported, resulting in the deaths of 36 individuals and injuries to 96 others.
