According to reports from a Palestinian media outlet on Sunday, intense confrontations broke out between Palestinian resistance fighters and Israeli forces as the latter conducted operations in various areas and villages throughout the West Bank.

Reports indicate that the al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, engaged in fierce clashes with Israeli occupation forces in the town of Silat al-Harithiya, located northwest of Jenin. The fighters of the Brigades reportedly directed significant gunfire towards the Israeli troops and deployed a series of explosive devices targeting personnel and vehicles. These attacks have allegedly led to confirmed casualties among the Israeli soldiers.

In other developments, the Al-Quds Brigades’ Tulkarm Battalion reported that its forces had engaged with Israeli troops during an incursion into the city of Tulkarm. The Brigades claimed that their fighters directed heavy gunfire at the Israeli military vehicles and personnel, resulting in injuries.

The hostilities erupted a day following altercations between Palestinian combatants and Israeli forces in Silat al-Harithiya. During these incidents, Palestinian fighters set off explosives aimed at Israeli infantry and military vehicles.

In a move highlighting the rising tensions in the region, Palestinian Authority security personnel conducted a raid on a government hospital in Jenin. During the operation, they apprehended two individuals identified as Baha Suhail Marai and Qusay al-Arsan.

The recent escalation highlights the ongoing tensions in the occupied West Bank, as Palestinian resistance factions persist in their confrontations with the Israeli military’s occupation and incursions into Palestinian communities.
