Leader of Islamic Ummah: Media wields greater influence than the military in shaping the outcome of conflicts
Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, has emphasized the crucial influence of media in the context of global conflicts. He has urged for more innovation to enhance the capabilities of national media outlets.
On Tuesday, the Leader issued a statement ahead of a media conference in Tehran, which was attended by the head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting Organization (IRIB) along with its directors.
Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized that effective communication and the truthful dissemination of messages hold greater influence in determining the outcome of conflicts than military capabilities.
“The Leader emphasized the unprecedented influence of media and publicity in the current global conflicts, noting its significance is greater now than ever before.”
Victory in today’s world hinges on the capacity to effectively communicate one’s message and shape the narrative of reality.
“It is imperative that we intensify our focus on precision and innovation within this vital sector.”
Peyman Jebelli, head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), reaffirmed the organization’s steadfast backing for media outlets aligned with the Axis of Resistance amid the current situation in Gaza.
Since October 2023, dozens of journalists have lost their lives in Gaza amidst ongoing conflict, according to reports. Additionally, numerous members of the press are reported as missing, detained, or injured.
