Zionist Israeli forces killed the Gaza Strip’s police director general

According to reports from local media in Palestine, forces of the Israeli regime allegedly carried out the assassination of Mahmoud Salah, the Director General of Police in the Gaza Strip, along with his assistant Hussam Mustafa Shawan, in the early hours of Thursday.

Mahmoud Salah was killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting Palestinian refugee camps in the Al-Mawasi district of Khan Yunis, located in the southern Gaza Strip, on Thursday, according to reports.

Palestinian media agencies have reported that an Israeli airstrike targeted refugee tents in the Al-Mawasi region, located west of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of at least 11 Palestinians and injuring 15 others.

Israeli airstrikes on New Year’s Day resulted in the deaths of at least 12 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, predominantly women and children, according to local officials. The incident marks another escalation in the protracted conflict, now extending into its 15th month.
