Yemeni security forces dismantle a UK-Saudi intelligence network
Yemeni security forces have successfully dismantled an espionage network with alleged connections to Saudi and British intelligence agencies, according to reports.

Yemeni security forces have reported the successful disruption of planned hostile operations allegedly organized by British MI6 and Saudi intelligence services in December 2024.
Yemeni security authorities have disclosed that British intelligence, in collaboration with Saudi intelligence, has been involved in the recruitment and training of espionage agents. These operatives were reportedly tasked with conducting intelligence operations aimed at Yemen’s strategic resources.
The statement emphasized that intelligence officials from both the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia have been involved in training operatives in Riyadh, focusing on surveillance and intelligence collection methods. These operatives have been equipped with sophisticated espionage devices, including technology capable of precise location tracking and coordinate collection.
Yemeni officials have disclosed that a recruited network was planning attacks on military and security installations, along with conducting surveillance on the locations, residences, and movements of high-ranking state officials. The network also reportedly targeted strategic facilities, including the missile force and drone units, and placed GPS devices on vehicles and other intended targets.
The Supreme Political Council in Yemen has issued a serious warning to nations involved in espionage activities targeting the country. The council declared that all nations whose intelligence agencies have organized espionage cells against Yemen will be held accountable. Moreover, they stressed that these espionage networks will face stringent repercussions as per existing laws and regulations.
In a statement released in late December, Yemeni security officials announced the successful disruption of intelligence operations orchestrated by the United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and Israel’s Mossad.
Yemeni security forces have issued a statement emphasizing that hostile intelligence operations are attempting to disrupt Yemeni support for Gaza by targeting the nation’s military personnel and leadership.
The statement underscored their unwavering commitment to safeguarding the domestic front, vowing to prevent any infiltration attempts by adversaries. It also highlighted the severe risks associated with collaboration with US and Israeli intelligence agencies, warning that such actions could result in the death penalty.
Yemeni security forces have issued a directive urging individuals involved with or assisting enemy intelligence operations to surrender to judicial authorities. The forces underscored their capability to locate and apprehend those individuals regardless of their location.
The collaborators were tasked with intelligence operations, including the surveillance and collection of data on specialists, laboratories, platforms, and vehicles involved in the deployment of missiles and drones. Additionally, their responsibilities encompassed observing and reporting on the locations and infrastructure of naval forces, military camps, and weapons storage facilities associated with the armed forces.
