Pezeshkian asserts that imperialist agendas aim to depict Islam as a menace to global society

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has issued a cautionary statement, asserting that global imperialist forces are endeavoring to propagate Islamophobia and portray Islam, along with the Holy Qur'an, as menaces to humanity.

In a message delivered during the closing ceremony of the 41st International Qur’an Competition in Mashhad, Iran, on Friday, Pezeshkian issued a warning.

He expressed that, despite global imperialism’s primary aim of exploiting the human and material resources of Muslim communities, its plans are destined to fail due to the dedicated efforts of those who serve and recite the Holy Qur’an.

Pezeshkian asserted that a key source of many current problems in the Muslim world stems from disregarding Qur’anic teachings. He emphasized the crucial need to promote unity among Muslim nations in order to “avoid any division.”

The President of Iran underscored a key global and regional truth, highlighting the significance of resilience and determination in combating oppression and inequality, as well as supporting those who are oppressed—a principle rooted in the teachings of the Qur’an.

Pezeshkian emphasized that the Holy Qur’an addresses human nature in a manner that transcends racial, ethnic, class, and religious boundaries.

He emphasized that the principles of the Qur’an provide a framework for individuals to coexist harmoniously, fostering justice, compassion, and non-violence amidst the challenges of today’s turbulent world.

The 41st International Qur’an Competition took place in Mashhad from January 26 to 31, featuring the participation of 59 Qur’an reciters and memorizers from 27 different nations.

The competition seeks to foster the spread of Qur’anic culture and values within the Muslim community while highlighting the skills and talents of those who recite and memorize the Qur’an.
