Top General: Iran produces over 90 percent of its defense equipment domestically

Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari has announced that Iran is now manufacturing over 90 percent of its defense equipment domestically.

On Thursday, Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, Deputy Commander for Coordination of the Iranian Army, affirmed that the Iranian Armed Forces possess the capability to fulfill all necessary defensive requirements.

The commander announced that Iran has ceased seeking equipment from international sources.

He detailed the array of combat and defense weaponry developed with indigenous expertise across the four branches of the Armed Forces.

Iran’s Ground Forces are reportedly capable of manufacturing a comprehensive range of weaponry, according to official statements. Simultaneously, the nation’s Air Defense Force is engaged in the production of a diverse array of radar systems and defense apparatus. The Air Force is involved in the creation of various aircraft models, while the Navy focuses on the development of rocket launchers, destroyers, and submarines. Authorities have also indicated that access to cutting-edge technologies enables the construction of a wide variety of drones and cyber systems.

According to the commander, Iran has taken a stance of self-reliance, declaring it will no longer permit foreign nations to exploit it in matters concerning the acquisition of weapons and their components.
