Syrian Druze Leader Emphasizes Unity as Top Priority

Hikmat Al-Hijri, the spiritual head of Syria’s Al-Muvaheddin Druze tribe, emphasized the community’s desire to reside in their homeland with dignity, acknowledging strides made toward this goal. However, he highlighted the current challenge posed by a power vacuum and underscored the need for unity, both within the community and across Syria as a whole.

The spiritual leader of the Syrian Druze community in Suweyda has firmly stated there is no aspiration for secession among its members. He emphasized their unwavering identity as Syrians, highlighting their commitment to preserving their historical and national roots, as well as upholding longstanding traditions.
