Abu Muhammad Al Jolani, also known as Ahmed al-Sharaa and the self-declared interim president of Syria, has arrived in Cairo to participate in the Extraordinary Arab Summit concerning recent developments in Palestine, scheduled for Tuesday.
Jolani’s visit marks his first trip to Egypt since he assumed the presidency in late January, following the overthrow of the Bashar al-Assad government by militias led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS).
