Iran views any form of unrest as detrimental to both regional stability and global security
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has reiterated that Iran has consistently refrained from pursuing nuclear armament, asserting that such endeavors are counterproductive and harmful not only to Iran but also to regional and global stability.

In a late Sunday telephone conversation with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, President Pezeshkian emphasized Iran’s stance on nuclear weapons, aligning with the Islamic Revolution leader’s decree. He asserted that Iran has no aspirations to develop nuclear weapons, cautioning that any form of tension or conflict is detrimental to the nation, the region, and global peace.
In a recent phone conversation, the two parties engaged in discussions concerning their bilateral relations, as well as topics of shared and multilateral interest.
Pezeshkian highlighted the robust bilateral relations between Iran and Norway across various sectors, commending Norway’s initiatives aimed at promoting peace and stability in the region.
The Iranian government has consistently positioned itself as a stalwart promoter of peace, stability, and security within the region, working diligently to avert war and conflict, according to official statements. However, the spokesperson criticized the Israeli government, accusing it of being a significant source of tension and crisis. The Israeli regime, he alleged, not only instigates war and perpetrates acts of violence and genocide against the Palestinian population but also seeks to mischaracterize Iran’s peaceful nuclear endeavors as threats to regional security by manufacturing crises.
Iran remains committed to a strategy focused on reducing tensions and fostering regional unity, according to Pezeshkian’s recent statements.
The Norwegian Prime Minister expressed the nation’s commitment to promoting peaceful conflict resolution in the region, underscoring Norway’s readiness to offer assistance and support to facilitate such efforts.
