The death toll has surged beyond 400 as Israel intensifies its airstrikes in Gaza

In a significant escalation of hostilities, the Israeli military has reportedly caused the deaths of at least 412 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, across the Gaza Strip. This surge in violence marks a major breach of an existing ceasefire agreement between Tel Aviv and the Gaza-based resistance group, Hamas.

According to reports, the fatalities encompass a minimum of 77 individuals in Khan Younis, located in the southern region of Gaza, as well as no fewer than 20 individuals in Gaza City, situated in the northern sector.

According to a report by the Palestinian news agency Sama on Tuesday, the violence resulted in injuries to at least 500 other Palestinians.

The agency reported that the raids impacted every part of the already severely war-damaged and predominantly devastated coastal region, striking residential buildings, educational institutions, and refugee shelters.

In a development signaling a renewed surge in hostilities, Qatar’s Al Jazeera television network has reported a series of explosions reverberating across the northeastern regions of Gaza. This escalation coincides with intensified surveillance and aerial operations conducted by spy drones and warplanes, according to the network’s coverage.

In an effort to halt a conflict described as a genocidal campaign against Gaza, a ceasefire was implemented in January. This development came after over 15 months of hostilities initiated by the regime, following a significant operation undertaken by Hamas and other Palestinian resistance groups against the occupied territories.

In a significant military operation, fighters made a deep incursion into strategically important Israeli territories, effectively surrounding key military bases and capturing 240 individuals, including some holding dual American-Israeli citizenship.

Following the commencement of the ceasefire agreement, the regime has consistently breached the terms, further obstructing the delivery of essential aid commodities into Gaza. These include critical supplies such as food, medicine, and water. The blockade appears to be an effort to coerce Hamas into releasing the remaining captives in a single batch.

In the initial phase of a recent agreement, Hamas released 25 captives who were alive, along with the remains of eight individuals. This exchange involved the release of over 2,000 Palestinian prisoners.

The movement has criticized Tel Aviv for allegedly undermining the agreement, emphasizing that the release of the remaining captives depends on the implementation of a second phase.

According to a report by the regime’s Ma’ariv newspaper, which cited insider sources, Tel Aviv has rejected a proposal for the “selective release” of American hostages.

According to sources, the regime has informed the United States that diplomatic attempts to secure the release of the remaining captives have concluded.

Sources reported that the regime’s “security cabinet” has authorized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Minister of Military Affairs Israel Katz to decide the timing for the continuation of the controversial military operations.

Meanwhile, the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused the regime of recommencing military operations in Gaza, attributing the decision to Hamas’s rejection of ceasefire extension proposals put forth by Washington.

Hamas continues its efforts to maintain the ceasefire through ongoing negotiations with Qatari and Egyptian mediators, despite persistent Israeli activities that threaten stability.

Over 48,000 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, have lost their lives amidst what has been described as acts of genocide. Additionally, hundreds more have been reported dead due to alleged Israeli breaches of the agreement.

Trump Signals Approval

The White House has confirmed that Israel engaged in consultations with the administration of US President Donald Trump prior to initiating its overnight airstrikes in Gaza.

Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced that the Israeli government consulted with the Trump administration and the White House regarding their military operations in Gaza this evening.

Recent Surge in Forced Displacement

Israel Defense Forces spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, has issued an urgent directive for inhabitants of multiple regions in Gaza to evacuate without delay. He warned that these areas are anticipated to be transformed into “high-risk combat zones”.

According to Adraee, residents residing in the regions of Beit Hanoon, Khirbet Khuza’a, Abasan al-Kabira, and Abasan al-Jadida have been advised to seek refuge in shelters located in western Gaza City or Khan Younis.

**Hamas Claims Israel Endangers Prisoners with ‘Uncertain Future’**

In response to the latest violent incidents, Hamas has strongly condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his administration, referring to it as a “Nazi” regime. The group criticized the continued military actions in the Gaza Strip, describing them as acts of aggression and a genocidal war targeting defenseless civilians.

The statement accuses Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israeli government of bearing full responsibility for the consequences of recent military actions in Gaza. It alleges that the Gaza Strip is experiencing severe targeting of civilians and describes the situation as a “brutal war” accompanied by a strategy aimed at starving the Palestinian population, who remain under siege.

The group expressed concern that the regime has opted to “overturn the ceasefire,” placing the captives in a state of uncertainty regarding their future.

Hamas has claimed that numerous hostages have been killed due to ongoing and widespread Israeli airstrikes in Gaza.

The group has issued a call for mediators to hold Prime Minister Netanyahu and the Israeli occupation fully accountable for allegedly breaching and overturning the terms of the agreement.

Hamas has called on the Arab world, including its key institutions, and significant international organizations to adopt a strong position against the ongoing aggression.

The United Nations and its Security Council must exert pressure on Tel Aviv to comply with the UNSC Resolution calling for a cessation of Israeli military actions in Gaza and the comprehensive withdrawal of Israeli forces from the area, emphasized the group.

A call for international demonstrations has been issued, urging “the free peoples of the world to vocally oppose the renewed Zionist campaign of extermination against the inhabitants of the Gaza Strip.”

Netanyahu Seeks Strategic Solutions Amid Internal Challenges

A senior official from Hamas, Izzat al-Rishq, has accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of opting to renew military operations, describing it as a strategy intended to divert attention from his domestic challenges.

“The adversary will not accomplish through conflict and devastation what it could not secure through diplomatic talks.”

He stated that mediators must expose the truth regarding Netanyahu’s alleged violation of the ceasefire agreement and hold him solely accountable for escalating tensions in Gaza and the region.

In a recent statement, Al-Rishq emphasized that the application of military force and aggressive tactics will fail to weaken the resolve of the populace and their resistance efforts.
