Hezbollah Declares Iran as Key backer of Palestinian Cause; ‘israel’ Malevolent Entity Supported by the US
Hezbollah's Secretary General has highlighted Iran's significant influence in backing the Palestinian struggle against Israeli occupation and aggression. He vehemently criticized the Israeli government for its alleged brutality in the region, attributing its actions to substantial support from the United States.

Sheikh Naim Qassem, in a speech marking International Quds Day, reiterated Iran’s pivotal support for the Palestinian cause. The event, observed annually across the globe, serves as a platform for pro-Palestinian sentiments.
He highlighted that the event was first established by the late founder of Iran’s Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini. After leading the successful Islamic Revolution in Iran, Khomeini declared the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan to be observed as the global Quds Day, advocating for its annual commemoration across the world.
Sheikh Qassem highlighted that the late Imam Khomeini designated the final Friday of every Ramadan as an international day dedicated to challenging oppression and tyranny.
A statement attributed to Imam Khamenei emphasized that the Palestinian issue transcends political strategy and is deeply rooted in faith, emotion, and conviction. It was noted that this sentiment resonates globally, with Palestine as the focal point.
Hezbollah’s leader highlighted that since the triumph of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, a time marked by unwavering Iranian backing for the Palestinian cause and the Islamic Republic’s global promotion of pro-Palestinian sentiment, numerous changes have taken place that bolster resistance against Israeli actions.
He advocated for the global annual observance of Quds Day, emphasizing Imam Khomeini’s guidance that it represents “a religious and ideological obligation that surpasses borders and politics.”
International Quds Day is observed as a demonstration of solidarity with the occupied holy city of al-Quds and all oppressed populations worldwide, standing against dominating forces, occupiers, conspirators, and tyrannical regimes.
The resistance leader has labeled the Israeli regime as an “expansionist entity with demonic attributes, sustained by U.S. imperialism.”
He stated that Israel is viewed as an expansionist adversary with no boundaries, and emphasized that resistance is a legitimate right and a natural reaction.
In a recent development, reports suggest that Lebanon has been included in what is described as Israel’s annexation list. This move has sparked considerable discussion and debate, with implications for regional stability and international relations. Sources indicate that the situation is evolving, and further updates are expected as more information becomes available.
Sheikh Qassem has dismissed the Israeli government’s assertions to regional territories as entirely lacking legitimacy.
He further cautioned that the regime has included Lebanon on its “annexation list,” with particular interest in the southern regions of the country. It is alleged that Tel Aviv is attempting to claim these areas through unauthorized settlement expansion plans.
In pursuit of its expansionist goals, Sheikh Qassem stated, the regime consistently breached its ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah by conducting bombings in southern Lebanon, the Bekaa Valley in the east, and the suburbs surrounding Beirut.
The actions have been characterized as outright acts of aggression that must be stopped, with demands made for the regime’s immediate and unconditional withdrawal from Lebanese territory.
A Lebanese authority urged the government to take decisive steps beyond diplomatic channels to address violations by the regime, which are occurring on a daily basis, highlighting that Hezbollah has strictly adhered to the ceasefire agreement, despite the breaches by Tel Aviv.
He called on the Lebanese government to commence reconstruction talks independently of any other matters, emphasizing that Hezbollah is prepared to back the state’s initiatives in reconstruction, rescue, and reform.
Sheikh Qassem firmly dismissed any notion of normalizing relations with the regime, highlighting the opposition that several of the country’s leaders have historically maintained against this approach.
On Friday, Zainab Nasrallah, the daughter of Hezbollah’s late leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah who was killed amid intensified Israeli assaults on Lebanon last year, declared that the targeted killings of the movement’s senior figures by Israel would not diminish the strength of the resistance.
In a powerful address at a large rally in Tehran marking Quds Day, she declared, “The criminal Zionists must not assume that targeting resistance leaders will undermine the resistance or pave the way for occupying our land or normalizing relations.”
**”Al-Aqsa Storm Elevates Palestinian Cause on Global Stage”**
In his statements, Sheikh Qassem lauded the steadfastness of the Palestinian resistance, underscoring its unwavering resolve to attain liberation “from the river to the sea,” referring to the area spanning from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea.
In the same context, he mentioned Operation al-Aqsa Storm, a significant military maneuver by resistance movements from the Gaza Strip against the occupied Palestinian territories. The operation involved resistance fighters penetrating deeply into the territories, surrounding key Israeli bases, and capturing 241 individuals.
Sheikh Qassem stated that the operation has elevated the Palestinian cause to a global platform, attracting significant support and attention worldwide.
In the region, resistance forces continue to receive substantial support and armament, a statement from an official indicated, while highlighting Hezbollah’s steadfast dedication to the Palestinian cause and their opposition to Israeli actions.
“Life under occupation and aggression lacks dignity,” experts say.
Hezbollah’s secretary general emphasized the urgent need for regional populations affected by Tel Aviv’s occupation and aggression to confront the Israeli regime’s actions. He highlighted that the regime’s brutalities hinder the possibility of maintaining a dignified life.
Sheikh Qassem stated that they have received messages from resistance fighters prepared for ultimate sacrifice in their pursuit of liberation from what they describe as Israeli aggression and occupation. He further emphasized the fighters’ desire for a life of dignity, deeply anchored in resistance.
