Hezbollah’s Secretary General, Sheikh Naim Qassem, is set to address the nation in a televised speech scheduled for Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 20:30 local time in Beirut, focusing on recent developments.
The speech coincides with International Al-Quds Day, a commemoration initiated by the late Imam Ruhollah Khomeini, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, to be observed on the final Friday of Ramadan. This year’s event occurs against the backdrop of the continued conflict involving Israeli forces in Gaza and the West Bank.
The recent increase in hostilities by Zionist forces directed at Lebanon, along with the airstrike on a residential structure in Beirut’s Dahiyeh area, will also be addressed.
Israeli warplanes conducted an airstrike on Friday, targeting a residential building in the Jamous-Hadat area of Beirut’s southern suburbs. This operation marks the first attack on this region since the end of Israel’s extensive military aggression against Lebanon on November 27, 2024.
