Hamas Honors Fallen Commander in Lebanon Airstrike
The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, has issued an official statement expressing sorrow over the loss of one of its esteemed members, extending condolences and solidarity during this difficult time.

Hamas has issued a statement expressing deep sorrow over the deaths of senior commander Hassan Farhat, also known as Abu Yasser, along with his son Hamza and daughter Jinan. The three were killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting their residence in the southern Lebanese city of Saida.
The Al-Qassam Brigades, which serves as the military arm of Hamas, have conveyed their condolences regarding the “martyrdom” of three individuals. The Brigades affirmed that the “cowardly policy of assassinations” directed against their members, whether inside or outside Palestine, will not dissuade them from persisting in their armed resistance efforts.
Reports indicate that an Israeli airstrike took place overnight on Thursday, targeting a residential neighborhood in Saida. The assault led to widespread panic and caused considerable damage among civilians in the vicinity. The intended target of the operation was Hamas leader Hassan Farhat, who was reportedly located in an apartment on Dalaa Street in Saida’s city center when the area was bombarded by an Israeli drone.
Israeli forces initiated a series of raids across southern Lebanon, targeting regions such as al-Naqoura, Nabatieh, and Saida, causing significant damage to those areas. Additionally, an airstrike was reported in the Wadi Ezza region.
Hamas has declared that the assassination of its commander, along with his family, will not dissuade the group from persisting in its armed resistance against the Israeli occupation.
