The head of Hezbollah’s Palestinian Affairs Department and former parliament member, Hasan Hoballah, condemned the Israeli actions in Sidon that resulted in the deaths of Hasan Farhat, a Hamas cadre, along with his son and daughter.
Hoballah asserted that the recent Zionist offensive constitutes a breach of the ceasefire agreement and United Nations Resolution 1701, suggesting that the adversary aims to broaden the conflict zone against Lebanon.
Hoballah emphasized the “disgraceful and conspicuous international silence from the sponsors of the ceasefire agreement, primarily the United States, which allegedly supports and conceals these assaults on Lebanese sovereignty and the state, while misleadingly professing to support it.”
Hoballah emphasized the necessity for the Lebanese state and government to assume complete national responsibility, urging them to make concerted efforts to halt the ongoing and overt aggression and to put a stop to this ongoing situation.
In a significant violation of the ceasefire accord, the Israeli military initiated a sequence of airstrikes targeting multiple sites throughout Lebanon, resulting in the death of a high-ranking Hamas leader in Sidon.
