Hezbollah Leader Declares Resolve to Persist Until Definitive Victory
The Secretary General of Lebanon’s Hezbollah movement has stated that their resistance will persist until achieving a complete victory and the complete removal of Israeli forces.

On Thursday, Sheikh Naim Qassem delivered a video message to participants of the “Qom Seminary, Islamic Revolution, and Resistance” conference. The event took place at Dar al-Shafa School, a prestigious seminary for advanced scholars located in the Iranian city of Qom.
Expressing unwavering confidence in divine assurance, he emphasized the persistence of resistance until ultimate success and the total eradication of occupying forces, asserting that no global power can impede the resolve of the Islamic community.
Sheikh Qassem commended the insightful scholars of the Qom Seminary, highlighting the institution as a formidable “bastion against oppression and tyranny.” According to the Hezbollah leader, it is from this influential hub that Iran’s Islamic Revolution originated, subsequently inspiring liberation movements throughout the region.
Reflecting on the Israeli occupation of Lebanese territories that occurred decades prior, he emphasized that both the Islamic Revolution and the ideology of its leader, Imam Khomeini, played a pivotal role in guiding the Lebanese people’s resistance against the Zionist forces.
Sheikh Qassem emphasized that after the invasion of their land, the principles of the Islamic Revolution and the ideology of Imam Khomeini served as a beacon for their struggle. He highlighted that the Lebanese people, particularly Hezbollah fighters, embarked on the path of resistance by adhering to the guidance of Imam Khomeini.
In light of the recent extensive offensive involving approximately 75,000 military personnel by the occupying forces, Hezbollah’s leader emphasized that resistance remains the sole path to securing a comprehensive defeat of the regime.
Lebanese citizens, drawing strength from their faith, historical heritage, and national pride, remained steadfast amidst the attack. He stressed that past experiences reveal resistance as the sole route to achieving dignity, honor, and freedom.
Sheikh Qassem emphasized the significance of Hezbollah, stating that it should not be viewed solely as a military organization. Instead, he described it as “a way of thinking” that has garnered support not only across the region but also internationally as a “rational and popular strategy against colonialism and hegemony.”
After enduring substantial losses over a nearly 14-month conflict and falling short of its strategic goals in the offensive against Lebanon, Israel was obliged to agree to a ceasefire with Hezbollah. This truce came into force on November 27.
Since the initiation of the agreement, occupying forces have been conducting attacks on Lebanon, violating the ceasefire with airstrikes across the Arab country.
Lebanon has denounced the ongoing presence of Israeli military forces, deeming it a breach of the ceasefire agreement and the agreed timeline for withdrawal. High-ranking officials in Beirut have voiced their determination to implement “all necessary measures” to expel the occupying troops from the country.
