Iran and Pakistan Vow to Eradicate Terrorism Along Border Regions, Says Top General
Iran and Pakistan have expressed a firm commitment to eradicating terrorism along their shared border by bolstering cooperative efforts, as stated by the chief of the joint staff of the Iranian Armed Forces.

In a meeting on Tuesday with the visiting Pakistani Army Chief Marshal Asim Munir, Major General Mohammad Bagheri emphasized Iran’s strategic perspective towards Pakistan.
Iran and Pakistan have demonstrated significant cooperation through the effective coordination of their armed forces in securing the border. This collaboration has proven valuable and should be further strengthened.
Marshal Munir emphasized the importance of bolstering cooperation and enhancing engagement between the Iranian and Pakistani armed forces, particularly in combating terrorism along their mutual borders.
The Iranian armed forces hold significant expertise across multiple areas, and efforts are consistently underway to broaden and elevate security and defense collaboration with Iran.
A Pakistani general is currently visiting Iran as a member of a delegation headed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. This visit is part of a four-nation regional tour that commenced in Turkey and includes planned stops in Azerbaijan and Tajikistan.
Islamabad has stated that the visit is aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and tackling common security and economic issues affecting the broader West and South Asian areas.
