Commander of IRGC General Salami Martyred in Zionist Israeli Strike: Report

Unverified reports suggest that Major General Hossein Salami, the commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), was killed during an Israeli attack early Friday.

Several senior commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and nuclear scientists were among those killed in a large-scale Israeli assault targeting Tehran and various provinces across the nation.

Major General Gholam Ali Rashid, who served as the commander of the central headquarters of the Iranian Armed Forces, has been killed in an attack, as reported by the state broadcaster IRIB. Renowned nuclear scientists Mohammad-Mehdi Tehranchi and Fereydoon Abbasi have been killed in separate attacks, according to reports.

According to a report by the IRNA news agency, Major General Bagheri, the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, is situated in the war room and remains unharmed despite rumors connected to the Israeli attacks.

Initial reports indicated that the attacks commenced at approximately 3:00 am local time on Friday in Tehran, the capital, and were succeeded by a succession of explosions in various provinces nationwide.

Videos circulating on social media depict extensive destruction in residential areas of Tehran and other provinces, attributed to indiscriminate Israeli attacks.

The Israeli government has acknowledged carrying out strikes on various locations, including Natanz, Khorramabad, and Khondab. Press TV’s Maryam Azarchehr warned that those responsible for the attack will face serious consequences, while also stating, “The Israeli regime is expected to be wiped out.”

According to a report by the IRNA news agency, a security source has stated that Iran is preparing a ‘decisive response’ to recent actions by Israel, which the Islamic Republic views as terrorism.

The aggressive actions occur in the context of escalating tensions in the region, driven by the belligerent rhetoric of Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his cabinet members.

Reports have emerged suggesting that Trump had allegedly approved the Israeli military action, even as indirect nuclear negotiations with Iran were ongoing.
