Iran has initiated a new barrage of missile strikes aimed at Tel Aviv and extensive regions in northern Israel as tensions escalate in the occupied territories. Reports from Israeli media emerged early on Saturday detailing the heightened state of alert in response to these developments.

Israeli authorities have confirmed the deaths of two settlers and injuries to 40 individuals following a bombardment in Rishon LeZion, located in central Israel. Concerns are mounting over potential casualties trapped under the debris. According to Israeli media, approximately 10 firefighting and rescue teams are actively working at the scene.

Rishon LeZion plays a crucial role in military operations, owing to its strategic location near key military infrastructures such as the Kirya military headquarters. This positioning establishes it as a vital logistical and command center during conflicts. The city is also in close proximity to major defense industry centers like Israel Aerospace Industries and Rafael, with a significant number of its residents involved in military research, development, and production. Moreover, Rishon LeZion’s contribution to military recruitment, particularly for technology and intelligence units, strengthens its connection to the Israeli military establishment.

Israeli media outlets have highlighted the unparalleled destruction in the central district, noting that the recent retaliatory actions by Iran have resulted in significant devastation.

The Israeli army has reported an increase in casualties, with three fatalities and dozens of injuries, several of which are in critical condition.

Concurrently, Israeli media outlets have reported the ongoing sounding of sirens across multiple areas, stretching from the southern regions to the northern borders. This includes locations such as Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Negev, Eilat, Afula, Upper Nazareth, Tiberias, and even the occupied Golan Heights.

Residents in southern Israel have reported hearing extremely loud explosions, while significant blasts have also been recorded in various northern regions, including Haifa.

This coincided with the launch of an Iranian missile barrage targeting Israel, achieving direct hits, as Iranian air defenses simultaneously intercepted incoming Israeli strikes.

Channel 14 has reported that an Iranian missile has impacted a crucial location south of Tel Aviv.

Amid escalating hostilities, reports from Israeli media have surfaced, indicating that Iran holds a substantial missile cache estimated to consist of between 20,000 to 90,000 rockets. This revelation has fueled apprehension over potential further military actions aimed at occupied regions.

In this context, Al Mayadeen’s correspondent in Tehran has reported that Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence has announced the interception of trucks carrying drones, which were purportedly meant for use in attacks within Iranian borders.

This development follows the announcement by Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) regarding the commencement of Operation True Promise 3. The military initiative is a direct response to perceived Israeli aggression against Iran, which resulted in the deaths of several high-ranking military officers, notable nuclear scientists, and civilians.
