Weizmann Institute, Linked to Mossad, Totally Devastated in Iranian Missile Attack

Iranian missile attacks have left the esteemed Weizmann Institute of Science, situated in Rehovot, just south of Tel Aviv, in a state of charred devastation.
A once-prominent institute, previously a cornerstone of scientific and military cooperation for Israel and known for its close ties to the Mossad intelligence agency, is now reportedly in a state of dysfunction and devastation.
Renowned as a leading scientific institution within Israel, the Weizmann Institute has long-established connections with both the Israeli military and the Mossad intelligence agency.
The collaboration has expanded to include Elbit Systems, a prominent weapons manufacturer known for its extensive operations across the United States, the United Kingdom, and other regions.
Israeli media reports indicate that the precision strike, executed early Saturday, was deliberate in nature. The operation focused on a center involved in advanced research connected to the regime’s military-industrial sector, encompassing areas like physics, biotechnology, and artificial intelligence.
Israeli experts have characterized the extent of the destruction as “catastrophic,” highlighting the severe impact of the situation.
In a catastrophic blow to the scientific community, laboratories and entire buildings lie in ruins, with sensitive instruments, rare biological materials, and decades of groundbreaking research obliterated. What used to epitomize the scientific pride of the regime has been reduced to mere ashes and debris, experts have acknowledged.
In the wake of the incident, images have emerged depicting charred buildings, shattered windows, and a maze of wires dangling from collapsed ceilings. Firefighting efforts have turned the institute’s courtyards into waterlogged scenes of devastation.
The full extent of the attack came to light as stunned scientists and researchers revealed the significant and irreparable damage they had suffered. Reports indicated that footage captured the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel being struck by Iranian missiles.
In less than a quarter of an hour, visuals showed a blaze engulfing the laboratory that Professor Eldad Tzahor has called his second home for over two decades. The fire led to the collapse of three entire floors, leaving nothing behind—no data, no images, no notes, no history, as recounted by the professor.
Tzahor highlighted the significant impact of the loss, noting that it encompassed more than just equipment. It involved the destruction of a valuable scientific archive associated with the Zionist regime’s technological aspirations.
The computer science department was severely impacted, with the laboratory of Professor Eran Segal, a renowned figure in AI-driven medical research, being entirely destroyed.
A team of 50 members made urgent efforts to salvage thousands of crucial biological samples stored in ultra-cold freezers; however, flooding caused the majority to be irreparably damaged.
Equipment valued at millions is now deemed irreparable.
Professor Sharieal Fleishman from the Department of Biochemistry expressed concern, stating that the loss extends beyond costly equipment, encompassing decades of accumulated expertise and finely tuned scientific systems. This signifies generations of research that have now disappeared.
Veteran researcher Professor Oren Schuldiner described a devastating scene, stating, “Our lab has effectively vanished. Years of dedicated work, including unique DNA libraries, stem cells, and genetically engineered fly strains, disappeared in an instant. This was the result of countless sleepless nights by our students.”
In a period of serious reflection, Schuldiner voiced concerns regarding the future of the Zionist entity in light of Iranian counter-operations. He stated, “The issue extends beyond Iran. It encompasses the profound uncertainty surrounding Israel’s future.”
The Weizmann Institute was targeted as part of Operation True Promise II, initiated by the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) on Friday. This operation was launched shortly after the Israeli regime carried out assassinations of multiple senior Iranian military commanders, nuclear scientists, and civilians, including women and children.
