Ayatollah Sistani Condemns Zionist Aggression Towards Iran, Decries Threats Against Imam Ayatollah Khamenei
Iraq's leading Shia cleric, Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, has issued a stern denunciation of ongoing Israeli hostilities against Iran, alongside expressing grave concerns over threats aimed at assassinating the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

In recent developments, after a series of aggressive actions against the Islamic Republic that led to the assassination of several high-ranking military commanders, nuclear scientists, and civilians, Israeli officials have issued threats directed at Ayatollah Khamenei.
Trump has similarly issued threats against Iran and its Supreme Leader, prompting widespread anger and outrage.
Ayatollah Sistani, Iraq’s leading religious authority, cautioned that any such action could lead to an uncontrollable situation, exacerbating regional turmoil and intensifying the hardships of nations involved, ultimately placing the interests of all parties at significant risk.
He stated a strong call for all relevant international organizations and governments, particularly those of Islamic nations, to exert their maximum efforts to stop the ongoing conflict and to seek a peaceful and just resolution to Iran’s nuclear issue in alignment with international laws.
The Israeli government’s ongoing aggression against the Islamic Republic since Friday morning has led to a response from Iran, dubbed “Operation True Promise III.”
The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has launched attacks on several strategic and sensitive military-intelligence sites located in Tel Aviv, Haifa, and other areas.
In a video message delivered on Wednesday, Ayatollah Khamenei asserted that the Iranian nation is resolute in its stance against an imposed war and will not yield to any form of imposition.
He issued a warning to the United States against direct involvement in assistance of the Zionist regime.
