Zionist Air Strikes on Nabatieh Result in Casualties in South Lebanon

A Lebanese woman lost her life and 21 others sustained injuries on Friday following a series of airstrikes conducted by Israeli forces.

A Lebanese woman lost her life and 21 others were injured on Friday following a series of intense strikes by Israeli forces targeting various locations in Nabatieh, southern Lebanon, including a residential apartment.

The Lebanese Health Ministry’s Emergency Operations Center reported that an Israeli strike on an apartment in Nabatieh resulted in the death of a woman and left eleven others injured.

On Friday, a correspondent from Al-Manar reported intense strikes targeting the heights of Kfar Tebneet and Al-Dabsheh, in the vicinity of Nabatieh.

Footage widely shared on social media platforms depicted intense strikes on elevated areas.

Aerial bombardments are presently underway in the Nabatieh region of southern Lebanon, with surveillance drones and fighter jets observed operating in the airspace.

In a recent statement, Joseph Aoun condemned the Israeli assaults, asserting that Israel appears to persist in threatening southern stability, regardless of local, Arab, and international opposition to its aggressive actions.

He stated that the escalation by Israel would undermine both domestic and international efforts aimed at achieving stability in Lebanon and the broader region, according to reports from local media.

Two individuals lost their lives in Israeli assaults on southern Lebanon on Thursday.

Israeli forces persist in conducting near-daily airstrikes on southern Lebanon and continue to occupy five strategic positions along the southern border, allegedly breaching a ceasefire agreement established after a 66-day conflict in late 2024. Additionally, Israeli actions have extended to the capital, reportedly targeting Beirut on four occasions since the ceasefire was formalized on November 27, 2024.
