450 Illegal Immigrants Detained in Iran’s Shahrud

The police chief of Shahrud, Iran, has announced the launch of a 72-hour operation targeting foreign nationals residing illegally in the city. The operation led to the arrest of 450 individuals.

A report from a Mehr News Agency correspondent reveals that Colonel Alireza Shaeini announced in a Wednesday night press briefing held at the Shahrud Police Headquarters that the operation’s objective was to establish enduring security and tranquility for the local community.

He stated that through the use of intelligence surveillance, law enforcement officers successfully identified and apprehended the undocumented immigrants.

Colonel Shaeini reported that the detained individuals have been relocated to the Semnan detention facility and are set for deportation from the country.

He urged citizens to contribute to public safety efforts by reporting the presence of undocumented immigrants.
