Pakistan Stands Firmly with Iran Amidst Conflict with ‘israel’
Pakistan's Defense Minister has reaffirmed Islamabad's steadfast backing for Iran amid the ongoing conflict with Israel.

Mehr News Agency reported that Pakistan’s Defense Minister, Khawaja Asif, conveyed in an interview with an Arab media outlet that Pakistan remains steadfast in its support of Iran, its friendly and neighboring nation, amid the conflict with Israel.
He emphasized that lasting peace in the Middle East hinges on the creation of a fully sovereign, independent Palestinian state. He described the situation in Gaza as genocide and criticized the Israeli government for its unwillingness to respond to international calls for action.
In addressing the ongoing tensions with India, Asif articulated the potential risk of renewed military conflict but underscored Pakistan’s readiness to counter any aggressive maneuvers. He asserted, “We do not aim to instigate a new war in South Asia and embrace initiatives directed towards a peaceful resolution between the two nations. Our objective remains enduring peace.”
The Pakistani defense chief issued a warning against any attempts to undermine the water-sharing agreement with India, cautioning that any violation by New Delhi could potentially rekindle conflict.
In a statement regarding military capabilities, Asif highlighted, “Our forces employ Chinese JF-10 and JF-17 fighter jets in conjunction with American and French aircraft, with China serving as our principal weapons supplier.” He refuted claims of Chinese involvement in Pakistan’s conflict with India, describing them as baseless and absurd.
