Syria submits 140 documents to UN on intervention of foreign countries in Syrian domestic affairs

Syria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Bashar al-Jaafari on Thursday strongly criticized meddling of foreign countries in Syrian domestic affairs and said Damascus has submitted 140 official documents to the UN on interference of foreign forces in the country.

Speaking to IRNA, he said these foreign forces who have fomented crisis in the country are mostly from Saudi Arabia, Libya, Tunisia and Kuwait and have committed inhuman crimes and atrocities in Syria.

Presence of foreign forces in Syria has turned into a security threat to the country, he said.

From early stages of the crisis, Syria has criticized presence of foreign forces and terrorists in the country but the issue was rejected by the members of the United Nations Security Council, he said.

On Syrian developments, he said there is no doubt that what is now going on in Syria should not be regarded as a phenomenon separate from the pressures being put on Tehran as they are seeking to break the resistance movement in the region.

Those governments seeking regime change in Syria seek other plots in the Middle East region as current developments taking place in the region are against their interests, he said.

Time is ripe for the UN to prevent illegal entrance of mercenaries with different nationalities into Syria where they have committed numerous crimes and terrorist acts, he said.

The UN once again discussed developments in Syria, and representatives of Germany, France and Britain offered aa draft resolution to the international body to legitimize military intervention in Syria under UN Charter, said the Syrian representative to UN.
