US, Israeli bases not out of range for IRGC: Iran cmdr.

Amid stepped up war rhetoric against Iran, a senior Iranian military commander warns that the US and Israeli bases will not be out of range for the Aerospace Division of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) anywhere in the world.
“Wherever Americans, Britons, Zionists and [their] allies have been present to implement a new plot and scenario against the Islamic world, the IRGC has been there and foiled or disclosed their conspiracy,” the IRGC Deputy Commander Brigadier General Hossein Salami said on Sunday.
“The IRGC, whose Navy has turned into a security puzzle for the enemy in the Persian Gulf, builds … an impenetrable deterrent defense force … at the heart of the enemy at sea,” he added.
The Iranian commander emphasized that the IRGC and Basij Forces have turned into a unique invincible power for the Islamic resistance, not only in Iran, but also in all Muslim territories, which thwart the enemies’ plots.
Earlier on Sunday, Salami said the Islamic Republic can annihilate the Zionist regime of Israel in 24 hours.
“A regime [with a frontier] that in some spots is only 24 kilometers wide could have its back broken by one of our infantry battalions in 24 hours,” he added.
Israel is stepping up threats of carrying out a unilateral strike against Iran’s nuclear energy facilities before the US presidential election on November 6. However, the US opposes any Israeli military action at the current juncture.
Israeli threats are based on the unsubstantiated claims that the peaceful nuclear activities of the Islamic Republic have been diverted to the acquisition of military nuclear capability.
The Iranian officials have promised a crushing response to any military strike against the country, warning that any such measure could result in a war that would spread beyond the Middle East.
