Army Commander: Enemies Fearing Iran’s Unexpected Response
Enemies lack the courage to take a military action against Iran because of their deep fear of Iran’s unexpected response, Commander of the Iranian Army Major General Ataollah Salehi said Sunday.
“The enemy fears the Iranian nation’s unpredictable reaction,” Salehi stated, addressing a group of Navy commanders, and added, “The enemy feels perplexed in dealing with this question that what bitter incidents it would have to face if it takes an action against us.”
He downplayed impacts of enemies’ economic sanctions against the country, and reiterated that the Iranian nation has been able to withstand much harsher conditions during the past 30 years (since the victory of the Islamic Revolution), and will powerfully overcome the current pressures as well.
In similar remarks in September, another army commander said that the response by the Iranian Armed Forces to any possible aggression will stun enemies since Iran has unveiled just part of its military capabilities.
Lieutenant Commander of the Iranian Army Brigadier General Abdul-Rahim Moussavi warned enemies, particularly the Zionist regime of Israel, of Iranian Armed Forces’ crushing response to any possible aggression.
“In case of an aggression, the enemy will face something that it has never expected,” Moussavi said.
Israel and its close ally the United States accuse Iran of seeking a nuclear weapon, while they have never presented any corroborative document to substantiate their allegations. Both Washington and Tel Aviv possess advanced weapons of mass destruction, including nuclear warheads.
Iran vehemently denies the charges, insisting that its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes only. Tehran stresses that the country has always pursued a civilian path to provide power to the growing number of Iranian population, whose fossil fuel would eventually run dry.
The Zionist regime has recently intensified its war rhetoric against Tehran, warning that it plans to hit Iranian nuclear facilities.
Iran has, in return, warned that it would target Israel and its worldwide interests in case it comes under attack by the Tel Aviv.
The United States has also always stressed that military action is a main option for the White House to deter Iran’s progress in the field of nuclear technology.
In response, Iran has warned it would hit the US, Israel and their worldwide interests and close the strategic Strait of Hormuz if it became the target of a military attack over its nuclear program.
Strait of Hormuz, the entrance to the strategic Persian Gulf waterway, is a major oil shipping route.
