Egypt will not allow continuing aggression on Gaza: FJP

The Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), condemned the assassination of Ahmed al-Jabari, top commander of Hamas’s armed wing Al-Qassam brigades, by the Israeli occupation forces.

“This crime needs an Arab and international move, to stop these massacres against the Palestinian people besieged in the Gaza Strip, who are being used by the Israeli government as leverage in the ongoing political struggle within the Israeli entity,” the statement said.

The party said that “the return to the assassinations policy against the leaders of the Palestinian resistance movements, confirms that the Israeli occupation wants to drag the region into instability.”

The statement stressed that “the occupation authorities must realize that the change witnessed by the Arab region, especially Egypt, will not allow the Palestinian people to fall under the Israeli aggression as it was in the past.”

The party condoled the leaders of the Palestinian resistance movement “Hamas” and the Palestinian people on the “martyrdom of the Mujahid Ahmed al-Jabari.

For his part, the Islamic leader Dr. Kamal Helbawy said that the assassination of the leader al-Jabari is “a part of the Israeli crime that not only threatens the Palestinians but also threatens humanity at large.”

“Egypt will not stand idle before this aggression, because our people are now free especially after the revolution, and the matter is now in the hands of the Islamists, and I do not think that Dr. Morsi nor the Islamists would accept this,” he added.
