Afghan bomb blast kills US-led soldier

A roadside bomb has killed a US-led soldier in southern Afghanistan as the number of attacks against Western troops in the war-torn country has soared significantly in the past months.

NATO’s International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said in a statement on Wednesday that the soldier lost his life following a bomb attack in southern Afghanistan.

ISAF gave no further details.

As casualties have risen in war-torn Afghanistan over the past few months, Western public opinion is growing increasingly tired of the war and mounting casualties.
