Ahmadinejad receives former Lebanese president

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad received former Lebanese President Emile Lahoud in Tehran on Wednesday noon.

According to IRIB, in the meeting, Ahmadinejad said that hegemonic powers intend to dominate all countries of the region, but, undoubtedly, with the awareness of nations they will be defeated.
He said that Iran and Lebanon will stand together, adding that a nation who stands for justice and truth will be victorious.
Emile Lahoud, for his part, said that Iran-Lebanon relations are founded upon friendship and love and not upon interests, so they will last long.
He added that Lebanon appreciated Iran’s assistance and Iranians were with Lebanese in the most difficult situations and we will never forget this.
Lahoud said that the Zionist regime has been following the policy of creating ethnic and religious disunity and has used all its abilities in this concern.
