Al-Akkari Confesses to Perpetrating Acts of Killings, Abductions, Rape, Thefts in Homs

Mahmoud al-Akkari, member of an armed terrorist group in Talbiseh, Homs, confessed that his group carried out attacks and perpetrated acts of killings, abductions, rape and thefts in Talbiseh, Homs governorate.

Al-Akkari said the terrorist group opened fire at protesters and killed a number of them, and set fire to shops to frame the security forces for the terrorist acts.

He also said the terrorist group attacked the political security headquarter and the district building before setting them on fire, blocked the international road several times, kidnapped five girls and killed them after raping them, in addition to a string of thefts and abductions.

Al-Akkari, who was born in Talbiseh in Homs governorate in 1978, said in confessions broadcast by the Syrian TV ”Two days after a protest took place in Talbiseh, Abdulhadi al-Akkari and Sheikh Zakariyya al-Dakka, from Talbiseh, agreed to join the protesters. Next Friday, the three of us met. Abdulhadi and Maher al-Oueijan held automatic rifles and Alaa al-Basha had a pump-action rifle. Later, we headed to Talbiseh.”

”While the protest was in progress, Abdulhadi and Maher went to al-Qalaa, an elevated place, where Sheikh al-Dakka and his gang were based,” says al-Akkari.

”At the protest, there had been shooting coming from al-Qalaa. A young man called Omar al-Oueijan was killed and we came to know that Abdulhadi was the one who opened fire to accuse the security forces of killing protesters.”

Al-Akkari confessed to attacking an ambulance which rushed to the political security burnt headquarter which was set on fire by protesters. ”We also attacked the district building and set fire to a part of it before fleeing.”

Al-Akkari said that an arms dealer in Talbiseh used to provide weapons for the group, adding that Abdulhadi told him that an amount of money wouldl be coming through Lebanon.

He also confessed that Abdulhadi related to them how he attacked a security car using RPG launchers, adding that the group used to block roads by tires. ”We blocked the international road near Talbiseh about five times, and opened fire at a Turkish bus in order to stir chaos.”

”500 gunmen used to threaten people before Friday prayers to compel them to take part in the protests. When the protest was over, shops were attacked and burnt to accuse the security forces. Once we shot at protesters from behind and killed ten of them for the same purpose,” said al-Akkari.

He admitted that Abdulhadi gang kidnapped girls before taking them to farms and murdering them.

Al-Akkari said that the group kidnapped someone called Suhail Mesto and asked for SYP 1 million as a ransom, adding that they also stole 25 sheep from al-Makramieh area.
