Al-Maliki Calls upon Erdogan to Stop Meddling in Other Countries’ Affairs


Information Office of Iraqi Prime Minister, Nuri al-Maliki, called the Turkish Prime Minister, Erdogan, to focus on tackling his country’s problems and not to get Turkey involved in the issues of countries of region.

The Information Office, in a statement published on its website Thursday, said that Turkey faces concerning internal situations, and the Turkish Government should realize that.

It continued to say that Erdogan should focus on Turkey’s domestic issues, heading of which toward a civil war raises our concerns, calling upon the Turkish Prime Minister to solve minorities’ problems and stop hurling his country in the problems of region’s states.

Al-Maliki wards came in response to Erdogan’s statement accusing him of seeking to stir civil war in Iraq on the basis of the current tension between Baghdad and Kurdistan district. Erdogan also expressed his worry over a possible conflict on oil in Iraq.
