Al-Nusra threatens Syria’s Christians

Christians in Syria belong to an ancient heritage that precedes the advent of Islam where all sects enjoyed a colored mosaic in Syria, however; the Syrian crises left no party alone. Pressure upon Christians in Syria has increased lately so much since the kidnapping of both archbishops Uhana-Ibrahim and Bulus al-Yaziji by Chechen militants belonging to al-Nusra.

Most of Christians in Syria are advocates of the government sine Syria, as for them, is the best country to allow all kinds of religious liberty to be exercised, but lately the have undergone a lot of pressure from the armed opposition either by considering them a vital target or by forcing them to either stand by their side or live the country. Now, al-Nusra Front releases fresh threats that also give the choice either to be killed, pay taxes or convert to Islam.

Some reports talked recently about more than 300,000 Christians who have fled Syria escaping the violence of the armed opposition.
