Aleppo-Hama Highway reopened for first time in five years

For the first time in five years, humanitarian aid trucks were able to access both government and rebel held areas along the Aleppo-Hama Highway.

Humanitarian aid trucks were filmed by the pro-opposition SMART News Agency going to and from government and rebel held areas on the Aleppo-Hama Highway, Monday.

Thanks to a recent agreement, the highway will be used by NGOs to deliver humanitarian aid to several areas in need.

In the future, this agreement will allow civilians to begin using the highway for trade and commerce in both the rebel and government held areas of northern Syria.
