Iran condemns meddling in Syrian domestic affairs

Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs, Hossein Abdullahian, on Tuesday strongly condemned the meddling of foreign countries in domestic affairs of Syria.

He made the remarks in a meeting with the UAE Deputy Foreign Minister, Tareq al-Haidan, in Tehran on Tuesday.

According to the Information and Press Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abdullahian told the UAE guest that Syrian leadership and its nation are on the front line of support for Palestinian people and their resistance.

The UAE Deputy Foreign Minister, Tareq al-Haidan, heading a high ranking delegation, attended the sixth joint consulate meeting with Iran officials.

The UAE’s envoy thanked warm hospitality of the Islamic Republic of Iran and said both sides’ high ranking officials are determined to expand and deepen bilateral relations and cooperation.

Referring to cultural bounds and affinity between the two countries,
Abdullahian said exchange of delegations between the two sides help bolster bilateral relations.

Abdullahian also explained about Iran’s stance on regional development mainly in Bahrain and Yemen and called the legitimate rights of nations should be observed through exchange of views after withdrawal of foreign forces in the country.

Iran’s deputy foreign minister also condemned the meddling of foreign countries in Syria and said Syrian leadership and its people are able to attain developments and strongly deal with intervention of foreign forces as well as expansionist policy of the Zionist regime.
