He called knowing the enemies as an important achievement of Arbaeen ceremony and added,” Shia and Sunni, by following the guidelines of the Supreme Leader on Islamic unity, have practically manifested their solidarity in Arbaeen rallies.”

Hujjat-ul-Islam Ershad, rejected the struggles of the enemies to question the facts of Islam as a vain effort and added,” Enlightening of the people on religious issues have to be a deductive process in order to prevent baseless thoughts among the people.”

According to the cleric a part of the seminaries during Arbaeen is to deploy scholars to the Arbaeen rallies in a move to answer the questions of the mourners and pilgrims during the rally.

An estimated number of 26 million mourners from different Islamic denominations and even Christians have entered the city of Karbala to attend the annual ceremony of Arbaeen.

Arbaeen is the fortieth day after the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS), third Shia Imam and grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) martyred with his 72 companions and family members in the Battle of Karbala back in 680 AD.
