“DJesus Uncrossed,” featuring Jesus, ‘degrading, abhorrent’

The sketch, “DJesus Uncrossed,” aired on Saturday night’s episode of the NBC comedy, has attacked on large multitude of Muslim and Christian sensitivities.
Not long ago, an American low-budget film, ‘The Innocence of Muslim’ desecrated the prophet of Islam, and incited wide Muslim protests around the world. Now, the sketch of ‘abhorrent’ American film ‘Djesus Uncrossed,’ desecrates Jesus Christ the prophet, depicting him as a gun-toting avenger on a bloody rampage, and faced condemnation by US Muslim communities.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations, or CAIR, issued a statement and announced that distortion of Jesus Christ was not only disturbing for Christians, but also it is so for Muslims and believers of Christ’s message, and “such a distasteful portrayal of a religious figure revered by billions of Muslims and Christians worldwide crosses the comedic line,” read the statement.
The sketch mocks the peaceful nature of Jesus Christ, “who gleefully blows away Romans in a mock trailer, and who, according to Bibilical narratives, was crossed by the Romans.
