Ayatollah Mohsen Araki: Prominent scholars ban killing Muslims

n00124006-bAyatollah Mohsen Araki, Secretary of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, in an exclusive interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) noted the formation of Permanent Peace Committee which is to set Syria crisis on top of its agenda.

He referred to the recent crisis in Islamic countries and expressed hope that the committee will take measures for the situation in other Islamic states like Iraq, Pakistan, Bahrain and provides the grounds for prevalence of permanent peace in these countries.

Secretary of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools Thought added,” In a bid to achieve more victories, other unions are needed to discuss the different challenges ahead of Muslim world.”

He concluded with a reference to a final articles in the statement issued at the 26th International Islamic Unity Conference saying,” Participating scholars in this summit, including some of high ranking Muftis, have inked this statement out of which an article bans killing of Muslims from any denomination.”

Ayatollah Araki said,” Spilling the blood of any Muslim who has recited his Shahada (declaration of accepting Islam), under any accusation including excommunication is rejected because no one can accuse other Muslims of atheism and spill his blood because that is in opposition with Islam.”
