An American cancer survivor has joined the criminal hunter force just to pay off her medical debt.

35-year-old Shanda Zapata turned to bounty hunting three years ago after overcoming cancer for the second time.

The cost of the treatment has left her swimming in dept. She owes the hospitals around 800-thousand dollars and they’re now attempting to sue her for not paying her dues.

And to avoid that, the mother of four spends her spare hours capturing fearsome fugitives in a bid to earn big money.

Shanda says she’s had very bad days in her career. She’s been shot, been pulled knife at and even had drug dealers throw needles at her like darts.
