Hamas senior official Dr. Salah al-Bardawil said positive talks have been held recently between his Movement and Egyptian officials in Cairo on several issues; most significant: the Gaza siege.
In an interview on Thursday, Dr. Bardawil told the Anadolu Agency that “positive talks have been lately held between Mousa Abu Marzouk, member of Hamas political bureau, and Egyptian officials in Cairo”.
“The talks discussed halting the Egyptian incitement against Hamas and resistance as well as easing the Egyptian siege on the Gaza Strip”, he added.
The Hamas official expressed his hope that Egypt will work on activating the Cairo-brokered truce accord with Israel and enforcing all of its articles.
Dr. Bardawil also referred to Hamas’s relations with each of Iran and Saudi Arabia and talked about his Movement positions towards the Yemeni conflict in addition to the Palestinian reconciliation file.
