Beirut massacre significantly alters the strategic landscape, says Iran
The Iranian Embassy in Lebanon has condemned Israel's airstrikes on the outskirts of Beirut, labeling the Friday attacks as a significant escalation. The embassy warned that the occupying regime would face repercussions for the violent assault.

On Friday, Israeli warplanes launched a series of over 30 airstrikes, striking residential buildings in Burj al-Barajneh, Kafaat, Choueifat, Hadath, al-Laylaki, and Mreijeh.
In a devastating airstrike, occupying forces targeted multiple structures within Beirut’s Dahiyeh district, purportedly aiming to destroy a Hezbollah missile depot. Local sources report that the assault has resulted in over 300 casualties.
The Iranian Embassy in Lebanon has accused the Israeli government of perpetrating a “bloody massacre,” alleging that recent attacks have targeted densely populated residential areas. In a post on its X account, the embassy condemned the actions and claimed that Israel is providing false justifications in an effort to obscure the severity of its actions.
“This heinous act and its reckless nature signify a significant escalation, altering the existing dynamics. The individual responsible will face appropriate punitive measures.”
In a forceful rebuttal of Israeli allegations, Hezbollah’s media office released a statement asserting that the resistance group “categorically denies the Israeli occupation’s baseless claims regarding the presence of weapons or weapon storage facilities in the civilian structures targeted in the southern suburbs of Beirut.”
In a sharp escalation of hostilities, the regime has intensified its offensive against Lebanon, resulting in a surge of violence that has claimed over 700 lives nationwide since Monday.
The recent attacks occurred just days after the regime’s deadly assault claimed the lives of 38 individuals, including three children, seven women, and Ibrahim Aqil, a high-ranking Hezbollah commander. The offensive targeted a residential building in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
Several days ago, a coordinated detonation of booby-trapped pagers and walkie-talkie radios occurred nationwide, resulting in the deaths of at least 39 individuals and injuring an additional 3,000 people.
The Lebanese resistance movement has pledged to sustain its retaliatory strikes in response to the ongoing Gaza conflict led by Israeli forces. The confrontation has resulted in the deaths of over 41,000 Palestinians, predominantly women and children.
